By Lady Antebellum. By Jule Styne. Arranged by James-Michael Sellers. Contemporary. 13 pages. JMS Composer #3619253. Published by JMS Composer (A0.749399).
Performance Notes:
Just as the songwriting duo of Sammy Cahn and Jule Styne did in 1945 during a heat wave in Hollywood, you'll imagine cooler conditions when you hear this wonderful flute choir rendition of "Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!" While the song itself is played during the Christmas season, there is no direct mention of the holiday in the lyrics; the song itself is about spending time with a loved one while enjoying a warm fire.
Rehearsal Notes:
This arrangement was inspired by a number of different performances of the song, but mostly by Michael Buble's rendition. With that being said, be jazzy and playful with the piece. The Alto gets some of the opening statements of melody, so be sure to bring that out. The Piccolo at [35] gets to be a little jazzy all on it's own. The ending measures ([58-end]) should be played together so as not to muddy the ending.
Instrumentation:
This arrangement of "Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!" is scored for an instrumentation of six parts: Piccolo, 3 C Flutes, Alto Flute (with a C Flute transposed part included), and Bass Flute.
This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard's global
self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters.
ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular
titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
