Composed by Jean-Philippe Rameau. Arranged by BRIAN W. COPPING. This edition: pdf, streaming. Baroque, Contest, Festival. 18 pages. EMK Music #1120063. Published by EMK Music (A0.1547568).

There is a Third Violin Part as an Alternative to Viola as well as an Optional Contrabass part so the piece can be performed by a String Orchestra.
Jean- Philippe Rameau’s ‘Tambourin’ was originally a keyboard arrangement in his E Minor Suite. It has subsequently become well known in its own right. The style of the music evokes a dance rhythm being played by a ‘tambourin’, a small drum found in the Provence region of France. The ‘staccato’ nature of the notation is also suggestive of its original performance on a Harpsichord. The lead player can include gruppettos or grace notes which was common practice in the late Baroque period or in the early 18C .

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard's global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
