The Pomp and Circumstance Marches, Opus 39, are a series of five marches for orchestra composed by Edward Elgar between 1901 and 1930, together with a sixth march created in 2006 by Anthony Payne from Elgar's sketches. The Pomp And Circumstance March N°1 is the best-known of the six marches. It was composed in 1901 and dedicated "to Elgar’s friend Alfred E. Rodewald and the members of the Liverpool Orchestral Society". This is a simplified version for piano duet (4 hands, 1 Piano). The PRIMO part was simplified for easy beginner students. The Piano accompaniment (SECONDO) is for teachers or another intermediate piano student.
