The piece is inspired by a traditional Levantine dance in 9/8, on Maqam Saba Mazmoum, and reverses in its structure the Samai Form, a traditional Arabic/Turkish musical form. In the middle section, we can hear the Samai Thakil rhythm cycle of 10/8, used in slow and double tempo, and a modulation in the Maqam. The piece was selected and performed by the KLK String Orchestra Solo Violin: Mykola Haviuk Conductor: Roman Kreslenko Philharmonia Lviv, Concert Hall, Lviv, Ukraine 18 June 2024.
