Transcription for choir (original scoring: voice, piano). "Musorgsky’s lied Ich wollt, meine Schmerzen ergössen (I fain would outpour
all my sorrows) is among the few compositions for which he set a German
text by Heinrich Heine. Since the melody and accompaniment move within a
range which in early music was designated as "Hohe Chiavett" (clefs in high
register), I decided to employ a fivepart women’s choir." (Gottwald).
