I have been REALLY cheeky here, taking the theme from the Minuet in Mozart’s opera ‘Don Giovanni’ and making it into a Boogie! After the very free introduction in which the flute and piano imitate each other, the boogie begins. Bring out the syncopations as much as you can, for example the last note in bar 4, or the first C# in bar 9.

Great boogie rendition of a classic
Performing this as flute and piano duet was as much fun to us performers as it was for the senior audience of listeners.
