Claribelle ist als Solowerk etwas Besonderes, da nicht eine Soloklarinette, sondern eine ganze Klarinettengruppe im Rampenlicht steht. Die Komposition zeichnet sich durch ein hohes Tempo aus und das thematische Metrial besteht vornehmlich aus virtuos anmutenden Tonleiterfiguren. Wim Laseroms schrieb das Stück in einer ABA-Form, wobei die Begleitung im mittleren Teil lyrischer erscheint als im ersten und letzten Teil. In der Coda reichen sich der Solopart und die Begleitung die Hände und beschließen dieses kurze Werk stilgerecht in einem strahlenden Fortissimo.
