Disappointing
1. The cover says 18 Jazz Duets for Two Trumpets. That is NOT true. This is a book of duets for ONE trumpeter playing along with a CD. The CD does NOT have a background only track; it has one track with 2 trumpeters playing, one track with the first trumpet playing, and another track with the 2nd trumpet playing. In other words, if two physical trumpeters are trying to play along with the CD, one will always be doubling somebody on the CD. Very annoying and difficult to stay in tune.2. The publisher made a mistake. Most of the duets in this book are two pages long. The publisher arranged the tunes so poorly that the musician must turn the page in the middle of the tune. What? The publisher could have easily rearranged the tunes so that there would not have to be any page turning at all. I know because I copied the book and did that myself. 3. The good news: the duets themselves are pretty good, not extremely difficult, but certainly interesting and fun to play.
