It takes the transcription of the original recording and at first imagines that the head was orchestrated a la Gil Evans. The chart then orchestrates Bill Evans piano performance in the woodwinds and brass. It does need doubling in the sax section, 2 flutes, 2 clarinets and a bass clarinet. This then becomes a sublte but exciting sonic experience.
