This arrangement presents a short, energetic excerpt from Bach’s Double Violin Concerto, reimagined in a rock-inspired style for flexible string orchestra. Rather than the complete concerto, the arrangement focuses on the most recognizable melodic and rhythmic material, making it ideal for short performances, teaching concerts, or mixed-ability ensembles.
The scoring is designed so that beginner and advanced players can perform together. Alongside the standard string parts, the arrangement includes simplified open-string and first-finger “B” parts, enabling students from complete beginners through to approximately Grade 8 to participate confidently while contributing fully to the ensemble.
For added flexibility, a Violin 3 part doubles the Viola line, allowing the work to be performed even when viola players are unavailable. An optional drum kit part is included to reinforce the rock style, driving the rhythm and adding a modern energy to this classical favorite.
