Kelly schreef deze mars voor de Kneller Hall Marscompositiewedstrijd in 1948. Hij nam persoonlijk, als lid van het regiment 4/7th Dragoon Guards, deel aan de landing op het strand van Arrmonaches in Normandië op D Day, 6 juni 1944. Eind juli 1944 werd Kelly zelf gewond. Deze plechtstatige mars is een passende hulde aan de helden van de landing in Normandië.

Kelly wrote this march for the 1948 Kneller Hall March Contest. With the 4/7th Dragoon Guards Kelly took part into the landing in Normandy on D Day, june the 6th 1944; actually he was injured himself at the end of july. 'ARROMANCHES' is a suiting tribute to the heroes of the Allied landings at Arromanches.

Kelly l'a écrite à l'occasion du concours de composition de marche militaire à Kneller Hall en 1948. Il participe personnellement, comme membre du Régiment des Dragons, au débarquement sur la plage d'Arromanches le 6 juin 1944. Fin juillet Kelly est lui-même blessé. Cette marche solennelle est un hommage tout à fait indiqué aux héros du débarquement en Normandie.

Kelly komponierte den Marsch ARROMANCHES für den Marschwettbewerb in Kneller Hall 1948. Mit dem 4/7th Dragoon Guards Regiment nam Kelly teil an der Landung in Arromanches in der Normandie am 6.Juni 1944. Im Juli wurde Kelly verletzt. Dieser feierlichen Marsch ehrt die Helden der Landung in der Normandie.
