’Èlèl Mani ’èl Mani (على الماني عالماني), Opus 13H, is a miniature piece for solo clarinet, inspired by the Lebanese folk tune that has the same name. Using the Sikah (سیكاه) maqam and the Maksoum (مقسوم) rhythm cycle, typical for Lebanese folklore, the piece discovers the potential of the clarinet as an Arabic contemporary instrument, taking benefits from its enormous range and color changes.
