I have always believed it is prudent for musicians to strike while the iron is hot, so I have arranged "A440 - tuning pitch (1-hour)" for flexible instrumentation for all to play and enjoy, while I sit back and rake in all the dough! "A440 - tuning pitch (1-hour)" is wonderful for parties, family gatherings, and even weddings. It is scored at concert pitch, so some instrumentalists will have to transpose as appropriate for their instruments. For variety, "A440 - tuning pitch (1-hour)" can be performed down an octave, but should be referred to as "A220 - tuning pitch (1-hour)" in this case. It is also possible to perform "A440 - tuning pitch (1-hour)" at a tempo of 240bpm (as opposed to the written 120bpm) for more gusto, but please note in this instance, it should be referred to as "A440 - tuning pitch (30 miunutes)." However you perform "A440 - tuning pitch (1-hour)" it is sure to be an instant crowd-pleaser!

A thoughtful arrangement of a timeless classic
This is really one of my ensemble's go-to pieces; we've been playing it for decades. How nice to see this thoughtful new arrangement with some helpful notes (senza vibrato). I agree with the previous reviewer that as essential as this piece is, it's probably best performed with substantial cuts. As a note to concert planners who've been hoping to use this as a grand finale, consider placing it earlier in the program for maximum effect.

Horrible and useless
It is horrible and a piece of crap that is not needed and there is a thing called a metronome that you can use instead of this piece of crappy music and its not even music its just tuning

An Essential Performance Piece
I teach orchestra in public schools at a variety of levels and this piece has changed the way I run my classes. We play it at the beginning of every class period! Simply put, no concert is complete without this piece! You need to include this to make sure you have a good concert. We usually make some heavy cuts; I suggest repeating the first 5 measures about 3 or 4 times for maximum effect.
